Walk@mib
An Android app that helps you find your way around the inside of a university campus.

Maps stop being much help the moment you walk through a door. Walk@mib picks up there, guiding you from one classroom to another, or to the nearest vending machine, inside the campus.
How it works
The app shows the building layout with icons and descriptions of useful places, then guides you along the easiest and shortest path to where you’re going, floor by floor.
Routes adapt to the person walking them. When it’s raining you can stick to indoor pathways, and if you have a disability the app suggests a suitable path.
Built as a team
I built Walk@mib with Christian Ferrareis, Andrea Mauriello and Chiara Pagliaroli. The Android client is written in Kotlin, with Azure Functions, Cosmos DB and Gremlin behind it, which suits a campus modelled as a graph of connected places.
